About Me
My earliest memories are filled with treasures from a polished box where Mama kept her jewelry. There was a heart locket from France sent by my soldier father to his waiting bride, a sweet sixteen charm from my grandfather to his teenage daughter, and a friendship ring from someone warmly remembered. Trinkets and keepsakes held my fascination to a life being lived before my own began.
How natural for me that old things and their stories fuel the passion of my creativity. The ConArtist Jewelry -- one of a kind wearable art -- renders a fondness for collage, color and vintage form. My compositions, repurposed from uncommon findings and fashion accessories from the 1930s and 1940s recall the history and romance of the Great Depression and World War II. Using materials long out of production, I celebrate decades of past glamour by creating new art pieces -- all with their own stories to tell.
I design brooches, necklaces, bracelets and earrings following eclectic themes; each piece is unique and carefully constructed.
I am a member of Missouri Artisans Association, better known as Best of Missouri Hands. You may visit the BOMH website at bestofmissourihands.com
